SEARCH COMMITTEE UPDATE - Resumes, resumes, and more resumes... that is the main task of the Pastoral Search Committee at this point. We are in the midst of screening and discussing over 300 resumes that have come to us through the various postings. The team is carefully considering the candidates along their experience, education, strengths, weaknesses, and gifts in relation to the needs of Chapel of the Cross. We will continue the resume review process during the next few weeks, and will begin formulating a follow-up questionnaire for selected candidates to respond to as one of the next steps. Please continue to pray for the search team and the candidate that God is ultimately preparing to bring to us.
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY: FINAL DATE FOR CHAPEL OF THE CROSS VOLUNTEERS - Habitat needs 8-10 people to help with rehab projects, including flooring (both laminate and tile) and painting on the final day, Saturday, July 31st. This rehab project of an older home is located at 18 Fales Street in Worcester, and it will be turned over to a new Habitat family upon completion. Please call or e-mail Lynn Hall (508-898-3934,

CHAPEL FAMILY COOKOUT - Join us Sunday, August 1st after the second service for a cookout. We’ll provide the hot dogs and hamburgers; you bring a yummy side or desert to share. Hope to see you there!
FIRE AND RAIN PRAYER GATHERING - Our Fire & Rain prayer gathering will be expanded into a forum for conversation followed by corporate prayer for the ongoing mission of the church. MUSICIANS & VOCALISTS NEEDED - Musical worship at Chapel is a special part of our Sunday experience. We are looking to grow our team of servant hearted musicians and vocalists to help lead worship this fall.
